Whenever you want to make changes to Opencart or Journal files you must always

because if a file is also modified by a third party extension using OCMod, that file will still be loaded from Opencart modifications cache folder and your changes will not be applied automatically.

After modifying .twig files in Opencart 3, you must clear the Opencart template cache from the blue button in the top-right corner in your Opencart admin dashboard

It's always recommended to avoid making direct changes to core files and instead use a tool like OCMod or vQMod so that changes won't be lost when updating the Opencart platform or Journal to a newer version.
